ShineLife Heritage
ShineLife Christian Church (originally Burnie Assembly of God) was pioneered in 1986 by Ps Winston & Mrs Marie McCulloch from Ulverstone, Tasmania. ShineLife Christian Church is a growing Pentecostal church that is finding new ways to reach our community with the full gospel message.
The church has a passion for the tangible presence of God, and for people to be a changed within an atmosphere of genuine Faith and Love.
Today, under the leadership of Pastors Allan & Ruth Pearson, our passion is to Regenerate People to SHINE God's Love to Others! We want to see lives radically transformed by God's power, so that they too can be a part of extending a helping hand to others. To this end, ShineLife has pioneered new outreach endeavours to engage with the community - namely our RTO, Computer shop, Café, and Web & Print Shop. We want to create a safe place for the church and the community to interact with each other.
Selah - Stop and meditate upon this!
How much do we savour and revere God's Word?
Cell Phone vs. Bible
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell Phones.
- - What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
- - What if we turned back to go get it if we left it behind?
- - What if we flipped through it several times a day?
- - What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
- - What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
- - What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
- - What if we used it as we traveled?
- - What if we used it to get information or advice?
- - What if we used it in case of an emergency?
- - What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?
This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing.
- Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!
