ShineLife Heritage

ShineLife Christian Church (originally Burnie Assembly of God) was pioneered in 1986 by Ps Winston & Mrs Marie McCulloch from Ulverstone, Tasmania. ShineLife Christian Church is a growing Pentecostal church that is finding new ways to reach our community with the full gospel message.

This church has a passion for the tangible presence of God, and for people to be a changed within an atmosphere of genuine Faith and Love.

Today, under the leadership of Pastors Allan & Ruth Pearson, our passion is to Regenerate People to SHINE God's Love to Others! We want to see lives radically transformed by God's power, so that they too can be a part of extending a helping hand to others. To this end, ShineLife has pioneered new outreach endeavours to engage with the community - namely our RTO, Computer shop, Café, and Web & Print Shop. We want to create a safe place for the church and the community to interact with each other.

Mission Statement:

Regenerating people by equipping them with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, releasing them from every bondage, and empowering them to regenerate others; Helping them to fulfil their God given destiny, touching Burnie, Tasmania, Australia and the World

WE DO THIS BY:

1. Individual and personal relationship with God 24/7.    Speaking with and hearing from God for every area of life, for ourselves, our families, our workplaces and for those we are reaching out to. We need to create a culture that genuinely loves the people whom we are trying to reach, not just tolerating them.

2. Connect Groups:     A safe place with a real sense of 'community' where individual ministry takes place where they can build a dynamic life that blesses themselves, so that they can be a channel for the blessing to flow out to others. A mechanism for developing mentor / mentee relationships for support, encouragement, accountability, and growing a passion for God's purpose and plan. Connect is a ministry of edification, encouragement, and evangelism that encourages and releases people to Love God, Love People, Love Life; - a place where people matter to God, themselves and others.

3. Celebration:     We desire to design our celebration services that enable people for a powerful 24/7 ministry not just hype on Sundays. Celebration services that attract people to encounter 2 things, firstly: a God who loves them and secondly: people who were genuine and authentic in their Christianity. We desire a place where the Connect Groups join together under the corporate anointing to celebrate the goodness of God in praise and worship. Together in unity The Church builds strength and is the place where God commands the blessing to be upon us. This is where corporate vision, leadership, and direction are given through corporate worship and faithful preaching and teaching of The Word of God.

4. Equipping Track / College:     A place of teaching and equipping for the work of the ministry. A series of teaching events taking an individual from new Christian's foundation through to leadership training. A mechanism where quality discipleship can be administrated - teaching that transforms lives - Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically - using the apprenticeship model rather than an academic/theoretical model.

5. Missions:     Is a part of every area of this church. It flows from the individual 'shining' daily, through Connect groups reaching out to friends and family, and corporate church planting in Tasmania, to foreign missions in Lavenda & Soweto Kenya and the Philippines. I believe that God wants us to serve our community, and in the process of serving others we will create opportunities for lives to be restored through the miracle of SALVATION. Therefore we need to have a structured approach to Social Justice & Welfare; The provision of a Christian Counselling & Medical Centre that ministers to the whole man without government restriction; and the provision of Accommodation services and Life-Skills Training Services - to help men, women, children, the abused, needy, etc to get a hand-up in life not merely a hand-out.
